Temperature | humidity controller | IP65 enclosure | PoM
Product description
This smart sensor is designed for regulating humidity and temperature in HVAC applications within challenging and outdoor environments.
Measurement and Control
It measures temperature and relative humidity (with adjustable ranges). Based on the measured values, it generates an output that can directly control an EC fan, AC fan speed controller, or a damper actuator.
The ambient light sensor can be used in various applications, such as regulating ventilation systems based on room occupancy. It's suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Power and Communication
It's powered by 24 V DC PoM (Power over Modbus), meaning you can connect both Modbus RTU communication and the 24 VDC power supply via a single cable through an RJ45 connector.
All measurements and output values are accessible via Modbus RTU. All settings can also be adjusted via Modbus RTU.
This sensor is a comprehensive solution, providing precise HVAC control and flexibility even in demanding conditions.

What Values Does the Sensor Measure, and How Does the Control Mechanism Work?
This HVAC sensor controller measures ambient light level, relative humidity, and temperature. The dew point is determined using the temperature and humidity measurements. These values can all be accessed through Modbus RTU communication. Also by means of Modbus RTU communication, the sensor algorithm can directly control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller, or a damper actuator. In proportion to the measured temperature and relative humidity, the output value changes. For instance, when temperature or relative humidity are getting close to their maximum values, the fan will run more quickly or the damper will open.
How is the Sensor Connected, and What are the Power Supply Specifications?
It only takes one RJ45 connector to connect this sensor. Power over Modbus (PoM) refers to the connection of Modbus RTU communication and a 24 V DC power supply via one single cable. We recommend using a Sentera 24 V DC power supply with RJ45 connector to make wiring easier. These power supplies have short-circuit, overload, and overvoltage protection. A supply voltage of 24 V DC improves the safety and dependability of your installation.
What are the Sensor's Installation and Customization Options?

What are the Sensor's Protection Rating, Calibration, and Durability?
The enclosure offers an IP65 protection against the entry of dust and water. It can be fixed on a wall or flat surface. Each sensor is calibrated and tested in our factory. We use sensor elements and components of high quality. This ensures the long-term stability and accuracy of this HVAC sensor controller. To ensure optimal performance, it should be protected from direct sunlight. We have therefore designed a special cover cap - AWP-10-13-13 - that fits perfectly over the sensor, further ensuring its proper functioning.
