Product description
Exceptionally quiet fan speed control for single-phase motors. The (combined) maximum current is 2,5 A. The fan speed is controlled by varying the motor voltage via Pulse Width Modulation - IGBT technology. The motor voltage is regulated via the potentiometer, via the analogue input signal or via Modbus RTU communication. The analogue input type is selectable. The TK monitoring function disables the motor in case motor overheating is detected. The supply voltage is 110-240 VAC / 50-60 Hz. A remote start - stop command can be generated via the digital input. No configuration is required - easy to use! Extra silent motor operation is guaranteed thanks to the technology used!

Exceptionally quiet motor operation
The VFSC9 variable speed controllers use a special technology to control fan speed. They are neither variable frequency drives nor TRIAC regulators. Actually, they combine the best of both... There is no configuration required. The motor speed can be regulated infinitely variable. Both motor and fan speed controller operate extremely quietly. For the technical people: they use IGBT technology to chop the incoming AC voltage at high frequency. The class B EMC filter guarantees adequate filtering of harmonics and prevents grid pollution.

Local or remote control
The desired fan speed can be set via the built-in potentiometer, via an analogue input signal or via Modbus communication. The analogue / modulating input type is selectable: 0-10 Volt / 0-20 mA or 0-100 % PWM. It is possible to define an OFF level. While the input signal is in the OFF level range, the motor output will be 0 %.

Easy to configure
This controller is much easier to configure than a frequency inverter. Due to the fact that there is no DC bus, it is not necessary to specify detailed motor parameters.
For most applications, this variable speed controller can be used with its default settings. If necessary, some parameters can be adjusted via Modbus communication.

Solid enclosure
The enclosure is made of high-quality r-ABS VO (UL94) plastic. This material is flame extinguishing, very tough and offers good protection against impacts. The enclosure can be surface mounted and offers an IP54 protection against ingress of dirt, dust and moisture.
