Category Advanced AC fan speed control - TK monitoring - day-week timer
Current stock 1 U.
Factory lead time 4 Week(s)

Product description

A calendar feature is included into this 5-step fan speed controller. It controls three-phase 400 V motors. The highest (combined) current is 1.5 A.

There are two ideal motor speeds to choose from. The timer with day-week program has the ability to flip between them.

In the event of overheating, the TK monitoring feature deactivates the motor. The motor will automatically resume after a power outage.

The speed of an AC fan is controlled by lowering the voltage of the motor via autotransformer technology. This method produces a motor voltage with a perfect sinusoidal form, ensuring silent motor running.

Surface mounting is possible in interior situations (IP54).

The supply voltage is 400 VAC.

Additional specifications and description

Manual or automatic mode
Using the ST2R4 speed controllers fans can be controlled in manual and automatic mode. In manual mode, time intervals for high and low speed operation must be set for each day. In automatic mode, these intervals are indicated for weekdays and weekends. Thus, the automatic mode allows the controller to operate completely autonomously after the initial setting.

Calendar function
The ST2R4 speed controller has a built-in weekly timer. Speed switching can be carried out between two pre-selected steps. Thanks to the built-in clock, this transformer controller can control the electric motor depending on the time of day and night. This allows the system to operate completely autonomously. Mode selection and fine tuning are carried out using the display and keyboard located on the ST2R4 enclosure.

Remote control start and stop
The ST2R4 transformer speed controller additionally has one normally open and one normally closed contact. They can be used to remotely turn the controller on and off, as well as to monitor its operation. Indication and warning devices, thermostats, temperature relays, etc. are used as connected equipment.

USB Type-B connector
The ST2R4 fan speed controller is equipped with a USB type B connector. It is used to read, enter and change all available controller parameters using a computer. To access the setup, you must use the free 3SM Center software developed by Sentera. Transformer controller with timer and calendar

Unregulated output
The ST2R4 speed controller is equipped with an additional unregulated output (230 V), which is closed when the electric motor is running. It is called unregulated because it has only two positions - closed (230 V) and open (0 V). The maximum current for this output should not exceed 2 A. One example of the use of this output is to control the electric drive of an air or water valve. When the fan is turned on, the valve opens, and when it is turned off, it closes. If you need to remotely monitor the operation of the transformer regulator, you can connect a lamp to the unregulated output.

Automatic power-on after power failure
When working with electrical equipment, you should always be aware of possible power failures. In the event of such a failure, once the power is restored, the speed controller and motor will restart automatically.

Alarm output
The ST2R4 speed controller is equipped with an alarm output (230 V), which is triggered when the thermal contacts that protect the electric motor from overheating open. This output can be used to connect a lamp or a buzzer.

Motor overheat protection
The ST2R4 fan speed controller is equipped with terminals for connecting the thermal contacts of the electric motor (TK). Thermal contacts are used to measure the temperature on the motor windings. In the event of overheating, the motor will be stopped to eliminate the risk of damage or failure. After the overheating protection has tripped, the speed controller is restarted manually. If the motor is not equipped with thermal contacts, the TK terminals must be connected together to simulate normal operation.

Housing
The main purpose of the housing is to protect the inside of the regulator from external contaminants and moisture, as well as from adverse environmental factors. Sentera closely monitors the quality of its manufactured and supplied products, both in the electrical and non-electrical parts. The body of the ST2R4 regulator is made of sheet steel with a protective paint coating and provides reliable protection from mechanical and other influences. It is certified according to the European standard EN 62208 and has a dust and moisture protection rating of IP54. To ensure maximum reliable and safe operation, as well as to eliminate the possibility of overheating, the regulator must be installed in a cool place without direct sunlight. The ambient temperature for operating the transformer speed controller must be in the range from -20 to +35 °C, and the relative humidity - from 5 to 95%. Moisture condensation in the work area is not allowed.
