Fan speed controller | calendar function | 2,5 A
Product description
5-stage fan speed controller with built-in calendar function. Controls single phase motors. Maximum current is 2.5 A.
The speed of the AC fan is regulated by reducing the motor voltage using autotransformer technology. This technology produces a perfect sinusoidal motor voltage and ensures quiet motor operation.
Two optimum motor speeds can be selected. A timer with day-week program allows switching.
TK monitoring function stops the motor in case of overheating. The motor restarts automatically after a power failure.
The enclosure can be surface mounted indoors (IP54).

Additional specifications and description
General
By altering the output voltage, a transformer controller can regulate the speed of single-phase AC motors. They are operated using autotransformers and control the speed in predefined steps. Transformer-based technology is incredibly dependable and durable. It generates an output voltage that is perfectly sine-shaped and as a result, the motor operates remarkably quietly and has a longer life. The electrical noise is decreased further thanks to the special coating.
Calendar feature
The ST2R1 features a built-in timer. Out of seven options: 80, 100, 120, 150, 170, 190, and 230 VAC, two ideal speeds can be selected. The LCD display and keyboard interface are used to easily select low speed, high speed or standby mode.
The ST2R1 controllers can function independently thanks to the built-in clock. Both manual and automatic switching between two optimal speeds is possible using the built-in keyboard and the programmable timer functions.
Thermal motor protection monitoring via TK contacts
Thermal motor contacts, also known as TK or thermal contacts, are used to measure the temperature of a motor. The TK monitoring function turns off the motor to prevent damage in the event of overheating. Bridge the TK terminals of the ST2R1 transformer controller if the motor does not feature TK contacts to simulate normal motor temperature.
Extra non-regulated output
The series features Sentera’s standard unregulated output – 230 VAC, 2 A. It can be used to control an external operating indicator light, a damper actuator, etc. When the fan is deactivated, the damper is closed or the light is off. When the fan is active, the damper is open or the light is on.
Alarm output
In case of an issue with the motor, the alarm output (230 VAC, 1 A) is turned on. It can be used to generate alarms; for instance, the alarm output is activated if the engine overheats. To stop further damage, the TK monitoring function shuts off the engine. An alert light can be controlled by the alarm output.
What will happen in case of power failure?
When power is restored, the engine will restart automatically.
Other features
There is an on/off contact on the transformer controller. This enables remote activation or deactivation of the motor. For instance, the motor can be released or blocked via a remote switch - connected to the make contact. A smoke alarm is connected to the normally closed contact. When a smoke alarm occurs, the engine is disabled - regardless of the status of the other input.
Standalone or operated by computer
Apart from being a standalone device, this transformer controller features a USB port for connection to computer. What you get is easy reading, changing and writing all device parameters via the free 3SMUsb software (part of 3SM Center), which can be downloaded from our website.
Wall mounted enclosure
The enclosure of the ST2R1 high-quality r-ABS VO (UL94) plastic. This material is flame-retardant, very robust provides reliable protection against impacts. Its ingress protection rating is IP54 against dust and water. This speed controller can be installed on a wall or panel indoors.
To ensure maximum reliability and safe operation, as well as to exclude the possibility of overheating, the controller must be installed in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Ambient operating temperature must be in the range from -20 to +35 °С, and the relative humidity is from 5 to 95%.
