Fan speed controller | remotely controlled | 5 A
Product description
This 5-step fan speed controller may be controlled remotely via 5 inputs. It controls single-phase motors. The maximum current (combined) is 5 A.
The AC fan speed is controlled by adjusting the motor voltage in up to five levels. An external switch or control device can be used to choose the various processes. The control switch type SMT-1-30-4C is recommended. This is a three-position switch with an off position.
The exact sinusoidal form of the output voltage ensures silent motor running.
Surface mounting is possible in indoor environments (IP54). The power supply voltage is 230 volts.

The features
The RTR-1 series of transformer fan speed controllers are designed to provide a simplified manual control solution for adjusting the speed of AC fans in various applications. They offer a series of advantages that make them a preferred choice for controlling fan speed in HVAC systems.
One key advantage is their durability and reliability, as they are designed to withstand demanding environments and provide consistent performance over an extended period of time. This makes them dependable for controlling fan speed in HVAC systems.
Another significant advantage is their ability to control fan speed quietly. While the controller itself may produce some noise, the fans operated by the controller run silently. This ensures quiet motor operation, which can be desirable in noise-sensitive environments.
Why RTR-1
The RTR-1 series also boasts ease of use, enhancing convenience and ensuring efficient control over the fan speed. They are designed for easy installation and do not require any additional configuration once installed.
Moreover, the series offers more than five output voltages, and the internal wiring can be adjusted to suit specific voltage requirements. This flexibility allows for customization and adaptation to various application needs.
The RTR-1 series of transformer fan speed controllers offer durability, reliability, quiet operation, ease of use, customization options, and remote control capabilities, making them a suitable choice for controlling fan speed in HVAC systems and other applications
Motor type
The series is developed to control AC fans via reducing the motor voltage. AC fans run on an alternating current and convert alternating current into mechanical power. Therefore, they are suitable only for voltage controllable motors. Several motors can be connected to the controller as long as the current limit is not exceeded. In this case all motors will run at the same speed. If you are not sure about your motor type, we strongly advise you to read carefully its accompanying documentation or contact the motor manufacturer.
The extras
The RTR-1 fan speed controller is remotely controlled, utilizing a 3-step switch with an OFF position produced by Sentera. This is the SMT-1-30-4C. By using an external switch, one of the available fan speed levels can be selected. When no input is selected, the motor is deactivated, providing flexibility in motor control. You can have the controller installed in a technical room and the control switch can be close to you for fast and reliable ventilation control from a distance.
Additionally, the controller features an extra unregulated output (230 VAC) that is active when the motor is enabled. This output can be used to control external components such as run-indicators or dampers. For example, when the fan is deactivated, the damper can be closed, and when the fan is active, the damper can be opened.
What is more, this fan speed controller does not require complicated configuration or programming. Once installed, it can be used.
Reliable enclosure
The enclosure of the RTR-1 series is made of high-quality r-ABS plastic, which is heat resistant, tough, and provides good protection against impacts. It is designed for surface mounting and offers an IP54 protection rating, safeguarding against the ingress of dirt, dust, and moisture.
