Product description

This 5-step fan speed controller can be controlled remotely via 5 inputs. It controls single-phase motors. The maximum current (combined) is 2.5 A. The power supply voltage is 230 volts.

The AC fan speed is controlled by adjusting the motor voltage in up to five levels. An external switch or control device can be used to select the various steps. The control switch type SMT-1-30-4C is recommended. This is a three-position switch with an off position.

The perfect sinusoidal form of the output voltage ensures quiet motor operation.

Surface mounting is possible in indoor situations (IP54).

About transformer technology 
A transformer operates based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It enables the adjustment of voltage and current in an alternating electric current while maintaining the power constant. It achieves this by utilizing coils of wire, known as primary and secondary windings, which are magnetically coupled. The primary winding receives the input voltage, creating a changing magnetic field. This changing magnetic field induces a voltage in the secondary winding, resulting in a transformed output voltage and current. Transformers are widely used in various applications to step up or step down voltage levels efficiently and effectively. 
Transformer controllers reduce the motor voltage and the fan speed in steps. Autotransformer technology is very reliable and robust. It generates a motor voltage with perfect sinusoidal shape. This results in exceptionally quiet motor operation and extended service life. A special impregnated coating reduces the electrical noise from the autotransformers.

Easy to install
This fan speed controller doesn't require configuration. Once installed, it can be used.
 
Application
The series is designed specifically to control AC fans by reducing the motor voltage. AC fans operate using alternating current and convert it into mechanical power. That is why they are compatible only with voltage controllable motors. It is possible to connect multiple motors to the controller, provided that the current limit is not exceeded. In such cases, all connected motors will operate at the same speed. If you are uncertain about the type of motor you have, it is strongly recommended to carefully review the accompanying documentation or contact the motor manufacturer for further assistance.  

Unregulated output
The extra, unregulated output (230 VAC) is active when the motor is enabled. It can be used to control an external run indicator, a damper, etc. When the fan is deactivated, the dampers is closed. When the fan is active, the damper is open.
  
Solid enclosure
The enclosure is made of high-quality r-ABS plastic. This material is exceptionally heat resistant, very tough and offers good protection against impacts. The enclosure can be surface mounted and offers an IP54 protection against ingress of dirt, dust and moisture.
