Duct air quality controller with Modbus RTU communication. It measures temperature, relative humidity and air quality (TVOC). The supply voltage is 24 VDC PoM - this means that Modbus RTU communication and 24 VDC power supply can be connected via one RJ45 connector. The sensor algorithm can directly control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator via Modbus RTU communication. All measurements and the output value are available via Modbus RTU. The TVOC sensor element is replaceable. All settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.

Optimised for air ducts
This HVAC transmitter measures temperature, relative humidity and air quality (TVOC) in air ducts. Based on the temperature and humidity, the dew point is calculated. This sensor will function best if it is installed in a straight section of the air duct. Avoid installation in turbulent air zones nearby filters, fans, cooling coils, etc. Position the sensor correctly with respect to the airflow direction. Please consult the mounting instructions for more detailed information.

How does it work?
The sensor algorithm controls an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator. The output value varies proportionally in function of the measured temperature, relative humidity and TVOC level. E.g. as temperature, relative humidity or TVOC level approaches their maximum limit, fan speed will increase or the damper will open. The control output is available via Modbus RTU.

One RJ45 connector is all it takes to connect this sensor! Modbus RTU communication and 24 VDC power supply are connected via one UTP cable - we call it Power over Modbus or PoM. All measured values are available via Modbus RTU communication. Most 24 VDC power supplies offer protection against short circuit, overload and overvoltage. A 24 VDC supply voltage increases the safety and reliability of your installation.

This sensor doesn't require configuration. Once installed, it is ready to use. The default settings will do for most applications. If necessary, the settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. For example, the temperature, relative humidity or TVOC range can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. The Modbus register map provides a complete overview of all adjustable settings.
High quality
Each sensor is calibrated and tested in our factory. In the unlikely event of TVOC sensor element failure, this module can be replaced. We use sensor elements and components of high quality. This ensures the long-term stability and accuracy of this HVAC transmitter. The enclosure offers an IP54 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. The sensor element is integrated in the probe of the duct sensor. This probe has an opening to have a direct contact between the air flow and the sensor element. The sensor probe offers an IP20 protection.
