Product description
Duct air quality controller with single output. It measures temperature, relative humidity and air quality (TVOC). The supply voltage is 24 VAC or 24 VDC. The sensor algorithm controls the single analogue output based on the measured values. This single output can be used to directly control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator. The default output is 0-10 V. The output type can be adjusted. All measurements and the output value are available via Modbus RTU communication. The TVOC sensor element is replaceable. All settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.

Optimised for air ducts
TVOC or Total Volatile Organic Compounds evaporate from substances such as cleaning products, adhesives, paints, etc. TVOCs are also emitted from humans and animals. That is why a TVOC sensor provides a good, overall image of air quality. TVOC sensors are the best choice to control a ventilation system in residential environments. This HVAC transmitter measures temperature, relative humidity and air quality in air ducts. Based on the temperature and humidity, the dew point is calculated. This sensor will function best if it is installed in a straight section of the air duct. Avoid installation in turbulent air zones nearby filters, fans, cooling coils, etc. Position the sensor correctly with respect to the airflow direction. How does it work?
The sensor algorithm controls one output. This output can control an EC fan, an AC fan speed controller or a damper actuator. The output value varies proportionally in function of the measured temperature, relative humidity and TVOC level. E.g. as temperature, relative humidity or TVOC level approaches their maximum limit, fan speed will increase or the damper will open.
This sensor doesn't require configuration. Once installed, it is ready to use. The default settings will do for most applications. If necessary, the settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. For example, a different output type can be selected to make it compatible with other devices: 0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100 % PWM. The Modbus register map provides a complete overview of all adjustable settings.
3-wire connection
This sensor can be supplied with 24 VDC or with 24 VAC. It is intended for 3-wire connection. The ground of the output (GND) is internally connected to the ground of the supply voltage (V-). Make sure not to connect this common ground to other devices that are powered by a DC voltage.
High quality
Each sensor is calibrated and tested in our factory. In the unlikely event of TVOC sensor element failure, this module can be replaced. We use sensor elements and components of high quality. This ensures the long-term stability and accuracy of this HVAC transmitter. The enclosure offers an IP54 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. The sensor element is integrated in the probe of the duct sensor. This probe has an opening to have a direct contact between the air flow and the sensor element. The sensor probe offers an IP20 protection.
