Duct temperature probe | PT500 | L 150 mm
Product description
This passive temperature sensor is specifically designed for air ducts. It utilizes a PT500 platinum sensor element for temperature measurement.
The sensor element has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance, i.e., when the temperature rises, the resistance rises. The resistance at 0°C is 500 Ω.
The sensor element is encased in a plastic tube with a length of 150 mm. It is suitable for installation in air ducts with a maximum diameter of 300 mm. The flying leads are 1 metre long, but can be extended.

Additional specifications and description
How does it work?
This temperature probe measures ambient temperature via a platinum element (PT500). This sensor element has an electrical resistance of 500 ohms at 0 °C. It has a positive temperature coefficient. This means that the resistance increases when the ambient temperature increases. Any device with an input for 'PT500 passive temperature sensors' can read out the measured temperature.
How to connect?
The sensor element is built-in in a plastic tube housing. The flying leads have a length of 1 m (2 x 0,5 mm²). If necessary, they can be extended. The longer the cable length, the higher the influence of the resistance of the cable on the measurement readout. This sensor doesn't require a separate power supply.
Temperature probe for air ducts
The platinum sensor element is built-in in a plastic tube housing. The tube has a length of 150 mm. It can be installed in air ducts with a maximum diameter of 300 mm. It offers an IP30 protection degree against ingress of dust and moisture.
