Additional specifications and description

Is there sufficient fresh air supply?
People produce CO2 or carbon dioxide while breathing. That makes CO2 concentration a good indicator for the occupancy and activity level in a space. In many applications, CO2 sensors are used as an indicator for the ventilation requirements.

NDIR sensor technology
NDIR or Nondispersive Infrared technology is used to measure the CO2 level. This technology offers a low life-cycle cost and a precise and stable long-term operation. The sensor element is self-calibrating. Re-calibration on a regular basis is required . This sensor has one analogue output and one relay output.

3-wire connection
This sensor can be supplied with 24 VDC or with 24 VAC. It is intended for 3-wire connection. The ground of the output (GND) is internally connected to the ground of the supply voltage (V-). Make sure not to connect this common ground to other devices that are powered by a DC voltage.

Wall mounting
The enclosure offers an IP30 protection against ingress of dust and moisture. It can be mounted on a wall indoors. To ensure optimal performance, it should be protected from direct sunlight.

The new version of this sensor is: RSMFG-2R
RSMFG-2R also measures temperature, relative humidity and ambient light level. It's CO2 sensor element is self-calibrating.
