5-step fan speed controller | 0-10 V controlled | 10 A
Product description
Transformer controller with 0-10V analog input. It controls single-phase motors. The maximum (combined) motor current may not exceed 10 A. The supply voltage is 230 V AC.
Autotransformer technology regulates speed at five levels by reducing the motor voltage. These five levels are selected using an analog control signal (0-10 V) or an external potentiometer. The perfectly sinusoidal output voltage ensures quiet motor operation.
The TK monitoring function stops the motor in case of overheating.
The IP54 plastic housing allows surface mounting.

What is a transformer based controller?
A transformer controller is a type of device used to regulate the speed of fans by adjusting the motor voltage in incremental steps. This technology employs autotransformer technology, known for its reliability and robustness. The autotransformer generates a motor voltage with a perfect sinusoidal shape, resulting in quiet motor operation and an extended service life.
Autotransformer technology
This technology reduces motor voltage in steps to achieve precise fan speed control. The resultant smooth and controlled motor voltage ensures quiet operation and prolongs the motor's lifespan.
0-10 V control signal
The controller responds to a 0-10 V input signal, commonly generated by sensors like those of Sentera. If no 0-10 V signal is available, an external potentiometer can be connected. Different voltage levels in the input signal correspond to specific fan speed levels.
Thermal motor protection
The controller can monitor thermal motor contacts (TK), which measure motor winding temperature. If overheating occurs, the TK protection function deactivates the motor to prevent damage. If the motor lacks TK contacts, the controller's TK terminals must be bridged to simulate normal temperature.
Extra digital output
The controller features an additional 12 VDC digital output. This output indicates thermal contact operation, which protects against motor overheating. It can be used to activate a lamp or be integrated into a Building Management System (BMS) for alarms related to motor overheating or fan stoppage.
Auto reset after power failure
If a power failure occurs, the controller will reset automatically. Once power is restored, the motor will restart automatically as well.
Unregulated output
An unregulated 230 VAC output is active when the motor is running. This output can be used to control external indicators or devices, such as dampers. When the motor is inactive, the damper is closed or the indicator is off. Conversely, when the motor is running, the damper is open and the indicator light is on.
Adjustable output voltages
The series offers 5 output voltage steps (110, 140, 170, 190, and 230 VAC). These can be customized by modifying the internal wiring - the 80 V output can be activated via replacing any of the factory connected ones.
Solid enclosure
Enclosures play an important role in protecting the interior components or contents from various external factors such as debris, dust, water, and mechanical impact. The quality of enclosures is indeed essential to ensure the integrity and safety of the enclosed items.
The series features sheet steel enclosures designed to be resistant to external mechanical impacts. They can withstand accidental bumps, collisions, or other physical forces without compromising their structure or the items inside. This feature is particularly important in environments where there is a higher risk of such impacts, ensuring the protection of the enclosed components. The enclosures have a paint finish, which not only provides an aesthetic appeal but also serves as an extra layer of protection against corrosion and other environmental factors. The paint finish helps to enhance the durability and longevity of the enclosure. The enclosure is EN 62208 certified and designed for surface mounting. It offers an IP54 protection rating, guarding against the ingress of dirt, dust, and moisture.
